- Accepted Methods of Payments
- We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover. We also accept Personal & Business Checks. Orders paid by check will be held until the check clears, typically 10 days. To help protect our clients on some orders we may require that a photocopy of both the front and back of the credit card be faxed to us prior to the order being shipped.
- Shipping & Handling
- Most orders will ship between 0 and 2 business days. Some orders may take additional time to process.
- Free Freight
- Some of our Items may have a “free shipping” promotion. Free shipping applies only to our standard shipping services. Standard shipping does not include residential delivery charges or lift fees that can be associated with shipping large items by freight truck. Orders processed without freight will be charged actual shipping expenses in the event of a return, and these shipping charges are not subject to return credit. Free freight promotions apply to the continental US only. Residential delivery and lift gate services both have additional costs. Please contact customer service to see what those fees would be for your area.
- Freight Claims
- All products that arrive via common carrier freight must be inspected prior to signing for the product. If your product arrives damaged you must refuse delivery, note the damage on the bill of lading. THIS IS NECESSARY FOR YOUR PROTECTION although the responsibility is with the carrier, please notify and contact www.ButterfliesAndBirds.com immediately so that we may be of some assistance. Once you accept damaged freight www.ButterfliesAndBirds.com will be unable to help you with a freight claim.
Freight claims for lost or damaged freight must be filed with the carrier and clearly noted on Bills of Lading when receiving shipments. If the Product was damaged in transit and the damage was concealed by packaging Butterflies And Birds requires that you hold the Product and original packaging and call the carrier for inspection and pick-up. All damaged claims must be filed within 24 hours of receiving product. - Undisclosed Shortages
- In cases where you have received the proper amount of cartons from the carrier but discover errors or shortages in unpacking, notify us immediately. Claims must be made within 3 days of receiving your order.
- Broken or Warranty Claim Returns
- Butterflies And Birds will honor all broken or warranty claim products in accordance with the manufacturers warranties and policies.
Butterflies And Birds will not be responsible for items returned as broken or warranty claim that are refused by the manufacturer due to abuse.
Butterflies And Birds can only issue a credit for broken or warranty claim items if the manufacturer determines the item to be a valid claim. A credit will only be issued after Butterflies And Birds has received a credit from the manufacturer. - Order Cancellation
- You may cancel an order at any time without incurring any shipping and/or restocking fees prior to an order being shipped. Orders that have been shipped but not yet received by you cannot be cancelled. You can, however, return the merchandise without being charged any restocking fees as long as the return is processed according the our returns policy.
- Returns
- Customers may return any Product purchased www.ButterfliesAndBirds.com for any reason within 30 days of delivery, provided it is in new and sellable condition and returned in accordance with our returns guidelines. To return a Product, Customer must call 888.289.1952 or email a return request to sales@butterfliesandbirds.com to request a Return Goods Authorization form ("RMA"). The RMA will provide detailed instructions on the return process.
RMA numbers will only be valid for 10 days from the date the RMA number was issued. If the product is not in transit before the end of the 10th day you must call to receive a new RMA number. Any item that is returned with an expired RMA# will be subject to a 20% restocking fee or may not be accepted and returned to you at your expense.
There will be no restocking fee*** if the return is within 30 days from date of item receipt and the product is returned in accordance with our returns guidelines.
Absolutely no returns will be accepted after 30 days of item receipt.
Special orders purchased from Butterflies And Birds are not returnable for credit.
To make a return first contact customer service at sales@butterfliesandbirds.com to obtain a RMA number. We will not be able process any return or exchange without this information.

Prepare an itemized list of all items being returned (part number, quantity), and indicate the reason for return, i.e. new, broken/defective, etc. Record the RA # provided your Butterflies And Birds Sales Representative on the itemized list of all items being returned.
- Clearly write the RA# on the outside of the package being returned.
- Any item being returned without an RA# will be subject to a 20% restocking fee or may not be accepted and returned to you at your expense.
- Return shipping costs will be at the customer's expense.
- Many of our products come with free shipping, if you return a product that received free shipping our actual outbound shipping costs will be deducted from your return refund.
- Butterflies And Birds cannot be held responsible for packages that are lost or damaged in transit during the return process. Please be sure to properly package and insure all return shipments.
- Butterflies And Birds requires that you return your Product with prepaid insurance using UPS, Fed Ex, DHL or Parcel Post. Butterflies And Birds will not accept any shipment sent C.O.D.
- Credit will be less freight and any applicable restocking fees. Orders processed without freight, or where freight has been waived, will be charged actual shipping expenses in the event of a return, and these shipping charges are not subject to return credit.
- We can only refund money to the original purchaser. If item was received as a gift the items may be exchanged for different items. The original purchaser must initiate refunds.
